L’”Estate Wine”. A project which represents the strong identity of the rugged Panzano territory, elegantly dressed of our enological personality.
The freshness and minerality of Sangiovese, expertly blended with the opulence and nobility of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, allow for this wine to convey our idea of joy and happiness.
Carla 6 arises from Giampaolo’s and his friend and advisor Stephane Derenouncourt’s desire to compete and collide with a vine variety among the most difficult and unruly: the Sangiovese. Deriving exclusively from vineyard No. 6, planted in 1999 with south-west exposure, a unique substrate of grey shale and sand, which awards the wine great minerality and splendid notes of graphite. A pure Sangiovese, vinified and aged in French oak barrels, dedicated to his daughter Carla.
The “Gran Vin”, an act of love by Giampaolo for his grandfather Giorgio and now for his first son, who is sublimated through his great passion for the Bordeaux grape varieties. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, carefully selected and deriving from single particles of skeleton-rich clayey and schistose soils. It represents the highest territorial expression of the company.
