100% Sangiovese

The 2016 vintage started with pleasant temperatures at the beginning of April, which stimulated the budding of the plants and gave way to a new adventure. At the end of April, however, temperatures fell sharply with heavy rain, which slowed the development of the plants. During May and June, the climatic conditions returned to normal averages and gradually increased. Regular rains accompanied the vegetative development and created a good water reserve to overcome the summer heat without excessive stress. Summer arrived in July and continued through August, bringing with it a sharp increase in average temperatures and no rainfall. The warm and dry climate, together with the good humidity still present in the soil allowed the plants to complete the growth and the veraison of the bunches.The ripening of the fruit continued very regularly until harvesting, thanks to very sunny and warm late summer days, combined with cool and dry nights. In mid-September, after some rain rehydrated the
grapes, which brought back the balance between the various organoleptic components, we harvest the 5th of October.
